A must for the herbacious border, with majestic  spikes billowing with frilly petals  through the summer. This cottage garden favourite will not disapoint bringing height and colour to the garden.

 

When to Sow : Sep - May

HOW TO SOW:


Needs cold stratification.


Spring Sowing -  seeds should be placed in the fridge for two weeks prior to sowing, then surface sow onto moist compost, just covering with a little vermiculite. Place in a propagator with lid or into a poly bag to keep evenly moist. Ideal temp 15-18°C.Bottom heat will speed up germination.


Autumn Sowing - Sow as above and leave underglass to cold stratify naturally. In spring once the weather warms germination should occur.
Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to individual pots.
