Grow Along FAQ's
What are Grow Alongs?
Our Grow Alongs are weekly, step-by-step guides for sowing hardy annuals and other tricky crops. Each week we release the next stage so you always know exactly what to do.
Who are they for?
They’re designed for ambitious home growers and flower farmers who want florist-grade stems, longer bloom windows, and less wasted time or seed trays.
Which crops do you cover?
We’ll be tackling Lisianthus, snapdragons, Matthiola (stocks), Larkspur, Ranunculus, Orlaya, Daucus, Sweet Peas, Astrantia and more cool-season flowers.
Can I grow Lisianthus in the UK?
Yes! It’s one of the trickiest crops, but with the right timing and method, it can thrive. We cover Groups 1, 2 and 3 so you can choose your ideal bloom window.
How do the weekly releases work?
Every week, we post the next step in the Grow Along: sowing, pricking out, spacing, pinching, overwintering, or transplanting. You simply follow along in real time.
What if I miss a week?
No problem — all steps are archived so you can catch up anytime and follow at your own pace.
Do I need a greenhouse?
Not necessarily. Many cool flowers can be autumn-sown and overwintered in protected outdoor conditions. We’ll explain the options for different setups.
What results should I expect?
Stronger seedlings, longer stems, earlier blooms and — most importantly — profitable, florist-grade flowers.
