Allium sphaerocephalon (a.k.a. the drumstick allium) is small but mighty — slender, elegant, and full of garden charm. It produces tight, egg-shaped flower heads that start green and mature into rich reddish-purple, standing tall on wiry stems that sway gently in the breeze. Ideal for threading through borders, meadow-style planting, and cutting patches. Blooms later than most alliums, extending the season beautifully into midsummer.
