Biquinho Red is a beautifully mild chilli with a distinctive teardrop shape and sweet, aromatic flavour. With almost no heat, it’s grown for taste rather than spice and is traditionally used fresh, pickled, or stuffed. Compact plants are highly productive and ideal for containers, making this a great choice for beginners or anyone wanting flavour without fire. Scoville Heat Rating: 500 – 1,000 SHU — more flavour than burn, often used fresh or pickled When to Sow: Feb - Apr HOW TO SOW CHILLIS: Sow in pots - Sow thinly into pots or modules of damp compost. Cover with 0.5cm of soil. Ideal temp 21°C. Will benefit from the use of a heater propagator. Once germinated grow on in cooler conditions 15-18°C. Grow on until all risk of frost has passed. Can be planted out or grown in pots. Best grown in a greenhouse, conservatory or sheltered sunny spot.
