When to Sow: Aug - Oct & Feb- Mar

HOW TO SOW ANTIRRHINUMS/SNAPDRAGONS:
Sow under glass. Surface sow onto moist but well-drained seed compost. Do not cover the seed.  Do not exclude light.  Ideal Temp 18-20°C.  Seedlings will be very small and should only be watered from below to prevent disturbance.  When large enough to handle transplant seedlings to 8cm pots. Grow on in cooler conditions for 10-15 days. Plant out after danger of frost has passed. Seeds sown in autumn can be overwintered under glass for planting out the following spring.

  • Care: Cut & Come Again. Unlike shorter snapdragon varieties, do NOT pinch Potomac snaps if you want long, central flower spikes. If you prefer more branching, pinch only once when young for slightly shorter but bushier plants. Will require staking.

  • Harvesting: Harvest  with only bottom 2 flowers open on the stem.
  • Days to Maturity:  100-110 Days
  • Blooms: April - June
