When are dahlia tubers dispatched?
Dahlia tubers are dispatched in spring (Usually in March)when conditions are suitable and the risk of frost is approaching its end.

When should I plant dahlia tubers?
Dahlia tubers are typically planted outdoors from the end of April onwards once the risk of frost has passed. In colder areas, many gardeners start them in pots under cover before planting out later in spring.

Are dahlias perennial in the UK?
Dahlias are tender perennials. In milder areas they may survive winter in the ground, but many gardeners lift and store tubers over winter for the best results.

Which dahlias are best for cut flowers?
Decorative, ball, waterlily and cactus dahlias are all excellent choices for cutting gardens, providing armfuls of blooms from mid-summer until the first frosts.
