With blousy pom pom blooms China Asters  are one of the most spectacular annuals you can grow specifically for cut flowers. They will last through a light autumn frost so when other more tender flowers are finished these will still give a great display.

 

When to Sow: Feb - May

HOW TO SOW CALLISTEPHUS CHINESIS:
Sow indoors - Surface sow into  moist sell drained compost and just cover with a sprinkle of soil. Pat down to make contact.  Ideal temp. 16-18°C. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into individual pots.


Sow Direct  -Sow 6,m,m deep into drills  in raked soil and thin as required.
