Group 2/3

The DoubleShot series is a newer snapdragon variety known for its fully double flowers, mid-height stems, and strong branching habit. It combines the lush, ruffled blooms of the Madame Butterfly series with a more compact and productive growth habit, making it an excellent choice for both cut flower growers and garden displays.

Why Grow DoubleShot™ Snapdragons?

Fully Double Blooms – Each floret is densely packed with petals, creating a lush, rose-like effect.
Mid-Height (Great for Both Cutting & Containers)  shorter than Potomac™ but taller than bedding snapdragons.
Great for High-Density Growing – Naturally well-branched, meaning you can space them closer for more stems per square meter.
Strong Stems, No Gapping – The flower spikes are densely packed, so there are no awkward spaces between blooms.

When to Sow: Sep - Mar

HOW TO SOW SNAPDRAGONS:
Sow under glass. Surface sow onto moist but well-drained seed compost. Do not cover the seed.  Do not exclude light.  Ideal Temp 18-20°C.  Seedlings will be very small and should only be watered from below to prevent disturbance.  When large enough to handle transplant seedlings to 8cm pots. Grow on in cooler conditions for 10-15 days. Plant out after danger of frost has passed. Seeds sown in autumn can be overwintered under glass for planting out the following spring.
