French marigold ‘Fireball’ (Tagetes patula) is a striking, compact variety producing semi-double flowers in fiery tones of red, orange, and copper. Known for its unique bicolour blooms, ‘Fireball’ adds warmth and movement to borders, containers, and mixed planting schemes.

Widely used in companion planting, French marigolds are commonly grown alongside vegetables in kitchen gardens and allotments, making ‘Fireball’ both decorative and practical. This easy-to-grow annual thrives in full sun, tolerates heat well, and flowers continuously from early summer through to autumn.

Well suited to UK gardens, French marigold ‘Fireball’ offers long-lasting colour, low maintenance growth, and strong garden performance in a compact form.

When to Sow: Mar - May

HOW TO SOW MARIGOLDS:
Sow into trays or modules filled with fine, free-draining compost. Place seeds on the surface and cover lightly with compost or vermiculite. Water gently and keep warm — 18–22 °C is ideal.
Seedlings usually appear within 7–14 days. Once large enough to handle, prick out or pot on carefully. Harden off well before planting outside after the last frost.
