A fragrant, honey-sweet melon producing small, round fruits with blushed rinds and rich orange flesh. Ripening early under cover and fills the garden with tropical aroma. Perfect for greenhouse or polytunnel growing in the UK.

 

When to sow: Mar/Apr

 

HOW TO SOW MELONS:
Sow seeds individually in pots of moist compost at 22–25°C. Keep covered with a lid until germination, then grow on in bright, warm conditions. Transplant after the last frost into greenhouse beds or large containers.

  • Care: Feed weekly with high‑potash fertiliser once flowering starts. Water regularly at the base and avoid wetting foliage. Limit to 3–4 fruits per plant for best flavour.
  • Use: Fresh eating, desserts, aromatic summer salads.

 

  • Harvest: Pick at ‘slip’ stage when fruit detaches easily from the stem and emits a strong sweet scent. Typically 85 days from sowing under ideal conditions.
