Papaver oriental Hybrids produce magnificent, flamboyant blooms in a beautiful mixture of soft blush pink, creamy white, peach and vibrant orange-red. The large, exquisitely crinkled petals surround dramatic dark centres, creating flowers with incredible presence in the garden. These hardy perennial Oriental poppies return year after year, forming generous clumps of foliage before sending up their striking flowers in late spring and early summer. Sep - Apr- Sow in pots or cell trays. Sow into damp compost, a few seeds to each cell and cover with vermiculite. Ideal temp 20°C. Pot on when large enough to handle and plant out in spring after frost has passed 20-30cm apart.
May- Sep - Sow Direct. Prepare the growing site ensuring the soil is loose and the top is raked to a fine tilth. Sow in drills 15cm apart. Seeds will germinate when the temp reaches 20°C+. - Classification: Hardy Perennial
