Penstemon digitalis ‘Mystica’ is a stunning hardy perennial, prized for its dramatic, deep bronze-purple foliage and elegant spires of delicate, bell-shaped flowers in soft lavender, blush and white.
The beautiful contrast between the dark, glossy leaves and airy flower spikes makes this an exceptionally attractive plant for cottage gardens, contemporary borders and naturalistic planting schemes.
Producing tall, slender stems carrying clusters of delicate tubular flowers, each with a softly flared opening. The flowers appear in subtle shades of pale lavender-pink and white, creating a wonderfully romantic effect against the rich, dark foliage.
Unlike many penstemons grown primarily for their flowers, Mystica offers interest throughout much of the growing season. Its attractive foliage emerges with bronze and purple tones, developing into a rich, dark display that provides beautiful contrast even when the plant is not in flower.
