Cherished since Victorian times, Primula auricula Mixed produces velvety, often dusted flowers in rich shades of yellow, crimson, mauve, and cream. Each bloom is held proudly on short, sturdy stems above evergreen rosettes that stay tidy year-round. These hardy perennials thrive in cool, well-drained conditions and are ideal for north-facing walls or alpine beds.  Enjoy their long flowering season and fine detail — every plant a miniature work of art.

When to Sow:  Jan - Mar

HOW TO SOW PRIMULA AURICULA:
Sow indoors in trays or pots of fine seed compost. Do not cover the seed — light aids germination. Keep moist but not waterlogged -  using a propagator or clear cover helps maintain humidity. Ideal temperature 10–15 °C. Germination may be slow and erratic, taking several weeks. When seedlings are large enough to handle, prick out carefully into individual pots and grow on in cool, bright conditions. Harden off and plant outside once all risk of frost has passed.
