With tiered whorls of blooms rising like chandeliers, Primula candelabra brings a touch of drama to damp, shady borders and woodland-style planting. This mixed colour strain offers rich jewel tones — from fiery orange and golden yellow to soft pinks and deep magenta — all blooming in elegant vertical layers above rosettes of fresh green foliage. A long-lived perennial that thrives where others struggle, especially in moist soils or alongside ponds and streams.

When to Sow: Feb – Jun or Sept – Oct

HOW TO SOW PRIMULA CANDELABRA MIXED:
Sow in trays or pots – Sow onto the surface of moist compost and press down gently. Do not cover with soil — light aids germination. Ideal temp 15–18°c. Germination can take 2–4 weeks, sometimes longer. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into individual pots.
Sow Direct – Not recommended. For best results, sow in trays and plant out when established. These prefer careful handling early on.
