An unusal gourd with speckled skin and a curled neck which resembles a swan. Great for decorative displays. 

When to Sow: Mar- Apr

 

HOW TO SOW GOURD SPECKLED SWAN:
Ensure final planting site has lots of well rotted organic matter.

 

Sow Apr- Mid May under glass & Mid May to June can be sowed outdoors
Sow into pots or cell trays 2cm deep. Seeds should be sowed in their edge to prevent rotting.   Water well. Ideal Temp 18-21°C.

Prick out into individual pots when large enough to handle.  Harden off and plant out into final positions when risk of frost has passed.
