A must have bloom for florists with layers of large ruffled velvet petals. Usually grown from corms but can also be grown from seed. Needs cold stratification to germinate. Place in the fridge for 304 weeks before sowing. Sow in Autumn / Winter under glass - Surface sow onto a tray of moist well-drained compost. Just cover with a sprinkle of soil and keep moist. leave in a cold frame or greenhouse over winter and germination will occur when the weather warms in springtime. Ideal temp 10- 16°C. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to individual pots
