A must have bloom for florists with layers of large ruffled velvet petals. Usually grown from corms but can also be grown from seed.

HOW TO SOW:
Needs cold stratification to germinate. Place in the fridge for 304 weeks before sowing. Sow in Autumn / Winter under glass - Surface sow onto a tray of moist well-drained compost. Just cover with a sprinkle of soil and keep moist. leave in a cold frame or greenhouse over winter and germination will occur when the weather warms in springtime. Ideal temp 10- 16°C. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to individual pots
