A classic heirloom watermelon with smooth pale green skin and deep red, sweet flesh. Large oblong fruits with a crisp, refreshing bite.

 

When to sow: Apr–May

 

HOW TO SOW WATERMELON:
Sow seeds individually in pots of moist compost at 22–25°C. Keep covered with a lid until germination, then grow on in bright, warm conditions. Transplant after the last frost into greenhouse beds or large containers.

  • Care: Water deeply and consistently. Feed with a high-potassium fertiliser once flowers appear. Reduce watering a week before harvest to concentrate sweetness.
  • Use: Fresh eating, desserts, smoothies, and fruit salads.

 

  • Harvesting: Harvest when fruits sound hollow when tapped and the stem nearest the fruit turns brown.
  • Days to Maturity:  85–95 Days
