Angelonia angustifolia ‘Serenita Pink’ is a compact, heat-loving summer annual producing upright spikes of rich purple, snapdragon-like flowers. Its naturally bushy habit and exceptionally long flowering season make it perfect for sunny borders, containers and patio pots, where it provides continuous colour from early summer until the first frosts. Drought tolerant once established and highly attractive to pollinating insects, this dependable variety performs particularly well during warm, dry summers.

When to Sow: Jan–Apr

HOW TO SOW:

Sow Indoors – Sow one pelleted seed per cell onto the surface of moist, fine, free-draining seed compost. Press the pellet gently into the surface but do not cover, as light is required for germination. Mist carefully to dissolve the pellet coating and keep at 22–24°C in bright light. Maintain even moisture without waterlogging.

Once seedlings emerge, provide plenty of light and gradually reduce the temperature to approximately 18–20°C. Pot on once the roots hold the plug together. Harden off gradually and plant outside after all danger of frost has passed and night-time temperatures are reliably mild.
