A usefull and pretty herb which is easy to grow in pots or in the ground. With a mild onion flavour both the leaves and flowers are edible. Can also be grown indoors on the kitchen windowsill. Chives contain more Vitamin a than any other member of the allium family. They also contain Vitamin C and K.

Sow in Pots all year round -onto most compost covering with 0.5cm of soil. Ideal temp 15-20C. Sow Outdoors - Mar- May - in final position into prepared ground covering with 0.5cm of soil.
