Cookies & Log Files
Our website uses cookies. A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that we put on your computer if you agree. We use several types of cookies. Some are required to use the site, others you can opt out of if you would prefer to.
There is a new law in the EU which requires us to ensure you are fully informed about the types of cookies we use on our website and how and why we use them. This law also states that you should be fully informed before any cookie that is not strictly necessary for the site to function is created and you should have the option to disable any that aren't. All of our cookies are required by the site to function, however there are a small number of third party services which we use that also create cookies. We are working towards fully implementing the new requirements to ensure you have the option to prevent these third party non-essential cookies from being stored if you do not wish them to be.
Strictly Necessary Cookies
We create cookies in order to keep track of the shopping basket and account status of each user. These cookies do not store any personal data directly, they store unique numbers values that are then used with our site database to identify your shopping basket and account. Without these cookies you will not be able to buy anything from our web site. If you use this web site we'll assume that you are happy to receive these cookies.
These are first party persistent cookies. For security reasons the account cookies have a life span of a few hours but the basket cookies will typically last for three months. The expiry time will update while you remain on the site then expire a few hours after you leave. This should enable you to build up a basket on our site and come back to it at a later date if you would like to without leaving your account signed in. Each basket cookie will be deleted after it expires or once a purchase is complete.
If you have any doubts about the information stored in our cookies your web browser will have a process to clear off cookies at your request.
Functional Cookies - Language Tools
Our site uses a Google Translate tool which allow you to select an alternative language with which to view our Site. This will store persistent cookies that save your preferred language so that each page will be automatically translated to your preferred language without your having to select the language on each page.
These cookies are created by Google as a third party and will last for long periods, months or years, so that your settings will still apply when you return to the site later. Google do not provide a specific Privacy Policy for how they use data collected by Google Translate tools.
Performance Cookies - Google Analytics
We also use Google Analytics to track our users in order to improve our site based on past use. Google will create persistent third party cookies in order to track the movements of our site visitors. They last for a period of 2 years so we can see patterns in users who return to the site infrequently. This data does not identify you as an individual, but if you do not wish us to track you in this way please use this opt out tool. Google Analytics Opt Out

We use both tracking cookies and IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the website, track users movement, and gather broad demographic information. Neither of these are linked to personally identifiable information.
